Sexual Health
Many people who have a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) do not develop any symptoms. At the Collarenebri Medical Centres our GPs and NPs are experienced in diagnosing and treating STIs.
A sexual health screen can check for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis A, B and C.
For heterosexuals, regular STIs are advised depending on the number of sexual partners you have and whether you use condoms properly.
For men who have sex with men, an STI screen is recommended every 3-12 months depending on the number of sexual partners you have.
